Congress Back From Vacay & NFIB Is There | NFIB’s Week In Small Business

This week (9.9.2016) in small business, Congress is back after a 7-week recess, and lawmakers are facing a busy September before they head to the campaign trail in October. Congress must pass a short-term spending bill before October 1 to keep the government running. They did find time to hear NFIB Florida member Walter Carpenter testify before the House Ways and Means Committee, providing an employer’s perspective on the unemployment insurance system. Lastly, NFIB's August Jobs Report says job creation among small firms was negative for the third month in a row. Full economic report on Tuesday, September 13. NFIB.com/SBET
